Sean, I hear what you are saying. At the same time God hasn’t set a very good example for us. For example, what God would allow the best-hearted among humans to be taken from us, yet leave the most vile to continue their evil deeds?

We are masters of our own fate. Intervention and course corrections are left to us.

As an atheist I can only agree. However, occasionally I do reflect on how convenient a benevolent, interventionist god might be.
