We recently had to evacuate three generations of our family from three households across northern and central Victoria. Due to multiple and extensive bushfires, we watched with anxiety as they flared and ebbed and flared again towards our various homes. Fortunately, we all returned to intact houses. Many were not so lucky.
As the climate situation gets worse, with every New Summer we feel the new fear rise again.

All work is my own and you can share it as much as you like.
Stay safe, glad your homes remained in tact.

Loved the cadence and rhyme in your poem. I followed the news on those brush fires. The damage was quite extensive this time around.

I drive through the fireground to my son’s place an hour away and it has been devastating along every kilometre. That is only a small part of the area damaged. Thanks for commenting on my poem. I can’t remember how I came across your web site, but I like it. I would like to read some poems for my blog too, but haven’t worked out how to do so. Maybe one day. Keep up the good work. Methinks, it takes a bit of devotion!

I know an editor down under, and he was updated me. Says it was really bad. The worst he had ever experienced.
Thanks for the love man. I just enjoy writing, I enjog the vibe on WP. As for reading poetry, I dont have any special equipment, I have a mic I use, and I use Wavepad free software to clean it up before posting. Background noises are everywhere. So I use the closet sometimes when the world is still asleep. I recommend you do try it. Spoken word has been a gamechanger for me.

Intrusiveness is bad enough, algorithmic intrusiveness freaks me out. To digitally communicate or not to digitally communicate, that is the question!

Lol… they’ve really invaded our lives. And I do my best to keep them at bay. But it’s futile.
