I think you should acknowledge that
you should think about it
because when you understand why
you will either love me more than ever
or hate me forever
either way I will know I made the right decision
and we will see the greater truth come to pass together

This is very true, Sean. We can only speak our truth in kindness. And no one should resent us for that or begrudge us that liberty.

Occasionally, we probably all consider a lie to protect the ones we love. If they discover it and have faith in you they will trust your judgement. However, it then becomes incumbent on you to explain yourself with reasoning they can respect.

We will do anything to protect the ones we love. I guess context is everything. When it comes to family, there are no boundaries.
