There are no noble people,
only those who get things done.

Wherever, whatever their reason.
Mapped, planned or on the run.

So many times we make decisions, 
given credit for inclusive premeditation.

So often it’s just recidivism,
fear, or creative explanation.

Where lies self interest I ask?
There will be an individual voice,

at the heart of every task,
at the heart of every choice.

Let’s hear no more of altruism.
Human nature drives what’s best.

For all, let’s take it as a given 
We act selfishly unless 
there’s benefit from the rest.
